New book: “The Elements of Brand Design”
What defines a brand? — Branding is a kind of alchemy that emerges from the interplay of form, color, typography, visual language, sound, and movement. These elements shape how we perceive companies and products. The book “The Elements of Brand Design” examines the creative DNA of international brands, from Netflix and Instagram to Nike and Deutsche Bank. The book illuminates the entire branding process, from logo development and pictogram systems to the use of sound, moving images, and generative AI, offering deep insights into the work of creative studios and in-house design departments worldwide. Vista authors Jens Müller and Katharina Sussek have compiled more than 100 case studies across 17 chapters, each highlighting a core element of brand identity. They have also conducted in-depth interviews with Paula Scher and Michael Bierut of Pentagram, the creative minds behind some of the world’s most recognizable brands. The book, designed by vista, will be published by Taschen in late May.

Redesign ”Night of Technology“
The premiere of the "Nacht der Technik" (Night of Technology) in Remscheid, Solingen und Wuppertal will take place in May, marking the launch of the event series' new visual identity. We are currently working on a complete redesign of the long-established event, covering everything from the visual identity to digital applications. The new design captures the technical diversity of the event in a distinctive visual language, combining striking typography, a flexible layout system and strong contrasts to create a design that is both informative and accessible. Our goal was to modernise the character of "Nacht der Technik" and unify the various locations through design. The new visual identity will be visible in public spaces across industrial halls, universities, and research institutions for the first time, on digital applications, posters, wayfinding systems, and event media.
